Job Description

A multi-state legal team is seeking an Associate Attorney - Litigation to manage a high-volume portfolio of creditor-focused litigation matters. The attorney will serve as lead counsel across all stages of litigation and provide strategic guidance to financial services clients on contested and high-risk cases.

Responsibilities

* Manage a portfolio of 50 to 75 active litigation cases from initiation through resolution, including pretrial, trial, and appellate phases
* Serve as lead counsel in all aspects of litigation: pleadings, discovery, motions, trial preparation, trial, post-trial, and appeals
* Represent clients in contested matters, including judicial foreclosures, replevin actions, deceased borrower cases, and other creditor-related disputes
* Develop litigation strategy, oversee case planning, and provide timely updates to clients on case posture and risk exposure
* Negotiate settlements and manage risk using efficient, legally sound approaches
* Oversee procedural compliance and provide legal direction to internal operational staff
* Stay current on relevant federal, state, and regulatory requirements and implement procedural updates as needed

Qualifications

* JD from an accredited law school
* Active license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Texas preferred)
* Experience in litigation, particularly creditor's rights, foreclosure, or financial services, is strongly preferred
* Strong written advocacy, case management, and courtroom skills
